Canon .451 caliber with 6 scratches in 508 mm pitch. Hexagonal barrel, bronzed tobacco, American walnut stock and light jasped platinum.
In 1854, Sir Joseph Whitworth was approached by the English War Office to create a rifle to replace the Enfield model 1853. He decided to work on a .451 caliber weapon with hexagonal cannon and, during tests organized in 1859, it surpasses all other models tested. In the first match of the British Rifle Association, it even allows Queen Victoria to hit a target located 400 yards (366 meters). Used during the American Civil War by some snipers of the Army of Confederation, it will gain the name of "Whitworth Sharpshooter".
