CO2 gas airsoft guns operate using a CO2 cartridge, usually installed in the magazine. With each pressure on the trigger, the hammer of the replica is released and hits the percussion valve of the magazine, in order to open it and allow a certain quantity of gas to escape. The volume of gas ejected will allow the ball to be expelled from the barrel and also to move the bolt and the hammer (blow-back system) to prepare for the next shot.
