CHIAPPA Firearms perpetuates the tradition of historical firearms with faithful and accessible replicas. The 1873 series embodies the legacy of the legendary revolver of the American West, reimagined for modern sport shooting .
The CHIAPPA 1873-22 Engraved 4.75'' 22LR Revolver captures the iconic aesthetics of the Single Action Army in an elegant engraved version, ideal for sport shooting and recreational shooting in small caliber.
From the moment you pick it up, you'll experience the typical feel of a single-action shotgun: manual cocking of the hammer, crisp trigger pull, and simple, proven mechanics. This .22 LR model lets you enjoy this experience with very moderate recoil and lower ammunition costs - perfect for training or recreational shooting.
The black finish, enhanced with decorative engravings, provides a truly distinctive visual signature. The floral motifs accentuate the classic lines of the 1873 and reinforce its Western identity. It's an eye-catching piece in a display case, yet remains fully functional at the shooting range.
With its 4.75" (121 mm) barrel, this revolver offers an excellent balance between accuracy and handling. The fixed sights, consisting of a blade front sight and a fixed rear sight , remain true to the original design. At short and medium ranges, accuracy is excellent for target shooting.
Operating in single action only, it requires cocking the hammer before each shot. The half-cock safety system allows loading and unloading in accordance with its traditional operation. Extraction is manual, as on historical models.
The .22 Long Rifle caliber is appealing for its low recoil and relatively quiet operation (when shooting range regulations are followed). This allows for long shooting sessions, whether for training or recreation, while still enjoying the pleasure of a firearm with an authentic style.
In .22 LR caliber, with very moderate recoil and a single action mechanism, it constitutes an interesting platform for supervised introduction to sport shooting.
This .22 LR revolver is classified in category B. Its acquisition is subject to valid prefectural authorization and a valid shooting license, in accordance with French regulations.
Regular cleaning of the barrel, cylinder, and chambers after each use is recommended, especially with .22 LR ammunition, which tends to accumulate more fouling. Light lubrication of moving parts ensures longevity and reliability.
