The lower density of steel (30% less than lead) requires a higher muzzle velocity. To maintain the same final energy, increase the size of the lead balls by two numbers (A No. 4 steel cartridge corresponds to a No. 6 lead cartridge). High Performance cartridges must only be fired with proven shotguns with steel balls (presence of the Fleur de Lys hallmark on the barrel) and it is not recommended to use them with a choke greater than 1/2.
For proven weapons with steel balls, special for plains.
With its 28 g steel load, this waterfowl cartridge is classified as standard pressure, which allows you to fire it in all rifles tested at 930 BAR.
