This tan at the layer allows to give the weapons the shining war black and glossy old fashioned. The color obtained, both deep and transparent, is particularly suitable for old weapons and modern handguns.
MANUAL :
The parts to be blued must be "ice-polish" and perfectly degreased. If necessary repolish the metal with the polishing cloths. Degrease with degreaser solvent. Spread the product with a slightly impregnated arquebusery wick pad. Avoid casting. Return to the parts already treated by rubbing. Allow to dry for several hours (one night for the first coat). Then card, ie rub with the steel wool, until complete disappearance of marbling or oxidation dust. Apply the solvent with a little bit of wick while insisting on removing any impurities. Rub with dry wick. Repeat the process several times (between 4 and 8 times), until you get the desired deep black. After the last coat, rinse with clear water and dry well by rubbing with a wick pad. Then apply a light coat of finish with a wick pad. Do not rub too much.
PRECAUTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
The steels used for the different pieces of a weapon are not the same, so the shades may vary. We advise you to test to determine the desired tone. Depending on the quality and the quantity, in particular of the carbon contained in the steels, tanning may show mottling.
