Faithful replica of the Remington 1858 made by Pietta in Italy. Ideal for collectors or black powder sports shooters. It was the first American revolver manufactured with a closed brass frame, which gives it remarkable strength and reliability.
One of the big advantages of the Remington 1958 over the Colt 1851 or Colt 1860 was being able to change barrels quickly on the battlefield. Indeed, the officer possessing this weapon could indeed have a few spare barrels preloaded in his belt and thus ensure an unequaled firepower at the time.
Reloading requires loose black powder, wads, lead bullets, and primers.
