Lee single cavity mold for mini bullet intended for rifled black powder weapons.
This projectile differs from the spherical bullet by its conical shape and the fact that it is embedded in the rifling of the barrel and is therefore stabilized by the rapid rotation which is imparted to it during its journey in the barrel. The Minié bullet is named after its co-developer, Claude Étienne Minié, inventor of the Minié rifle. She became known during the Crimean War and the Civil War.
