This product is specifically intended for a “cold” and “layered” tan (5 to 8 layers with stopping oxidation by bathing in rainwater between each layer).
Recommendations:
This work must be done in a place with sufficient humidity, such as a wine cellar. Before use, thoroughly degrease and polish the part to be treated, then brush it after drying.
Tanning job:
Spread the product with a pad on the prepared piece, evenly and without excess. After 3 to 8 hours, immerse the piece in boiling water (rainwater) for 15 minutes. Card the oxide that has formed (use fine steel wool). Repeat the operation 7 to 8 times. In the last rinse bath, add a few pinches of crystals (St Marc detergent type). Hot coat with polish or linseed oil. Rub cold with a flannel.
To obtain an even more brilliant black (jet black), treat with ARMISTOL Finibronze after the last bath.
