LEE PRECISION is constantly innovating in the field of manual reloading . The Bulge Buster is a simple and effective solution to a well-known problem for pistol ammunition reloaders: case base bulge, often caused by wide or unsupported chambers.
Eliminates case base deformation on short calibers with high recoil.
The Lee Bulge Buster Kit is a complete resizing system that eliminates typical case base bulges. It is used with a carbide Factory Crimp Die (sold separately) to push cases through the crimping die.

A simple solution against deformed cases
The Lee Bulge Buster Kit is designed to eliminate the case base bulge that is often missed by standard resizing tools due to the presence of the shell holder. This common defect in short-bore, high-recoil calibers can lead to chambering or extraction problems.
A push-through system through the Factory Crimp Die
The principle is simple: the case is pushed up and down through a Lee Carbide Factory Crimp Die (not included). The kit includes a pusher and guide sleeve for this operation, as well as a red plastic catcher screwed onto the top.
Limited but targeted compatibility
This system only works with certain popular calibers: .380 ACP, .40 S&W, 10mm Auto, .45 ACP, .45 GAP, .45 Win Mag , and .41 AE . The use of a matching Factory Crimp Die is essential. The Bulge Buster is not applicable to other calibers.
Mounting on single-station press only
The kit is used on a standard single-station press or on a turret press without an indexing rod . It is not compatible with automatic or progressive presses in a complete cycle.
Important warning
If your cases require this treatment, do not use reloaded ammunition in unsupported chambered firearms : the initial defect could indicate a weakness in the case, potentially dangerous.
