1500 lumens and a wide 38° beam
The Skywoods OHL1500 delivers up to 1500 lumens with a 38° beam angle and a maximum advertised range of 108 m. This configuration combines wide light coverage with a range that allows you to illuminate beyond your immediate surroundings. For nighttime activities, setting up camp, or working in dimly lit areas, the beam can cover a large area without being limited to a narrow focus.
Six levels to adjust light and battery life
The six modes-High, Medium, Low, Moonlight, Strobe, and SOS-allow you to adjust the operation according to the situation. The four continuous lighting levels range from 1500 to 75 lumens . In practice, this makes it possible to reserve full power for areas requiring more light, and then switch to a lower level when battery life becomes a priority.
The 75-lumen Moonlight mode extends the advertised battery life to at least 120 hours. The High, Medium, and Low modes offer 6, 9, and 11 hours respectively. This range is a significant advantage for a rechargeable outdoor headlamp designed for both occasional use and extended outings.
21700 5000 mAh battery and USB Type-C charging
Power is supplied by a 5000 mAh 21700 lithium battery . Charging is done via a USB Type-C port, a convenient format for integrating the lamp into portable electronic devices. The battery capacity is fully utilized with the different available levels: the user can choose between light output and runtime without being limited to a single setting.
From the headband to the hand lamp
The elastic headband is adjustable and removable. Once removed, the light body can be used as a handheld lamp . The clip offers an alternative carrying option on a pocket or backpack. This design avoids limiting the OHL1500 to headlamp use only and facilitates its integration into hiking, camping, or work gear.
Magnetic base for hands-free working
The rear cap incorporates a magnetic base, allowing the lamp to be attached to a suitable metal surface. This is a particularly practical design when you need to illuminate a fixed area while keeping both hands free. The same light source can thus be switched from the headband to a metal support without requiring any additional mounting hardware.
Aluminum body and IP67 protection
The body is made of aluminum . With dimensions of 112 × 30 mm and a net weight of 142.1 g, the lamp maintains a compact size despite its 21700 battery. Its IP67 rating provides resistance to dust and water ingress, corresponding to this certification level. Impact resistance from a height of 1 m is also stated.
FAQ
Which mode should be preferred when long battery life is a priority?
The Moonlight mode is designed to prioritize operating time: at 75 lumens, its advertised battery life reaches at least 120 hours. Higher power modes progressively reduce this battery life.
Can this lamp be used without wearing the headband?
Yes. The headband is removable, allowing the body to be used as a handheld lamp. The clip also allows it to be attached to a pocket or bag, while the magnetic base provides a fixed lighting solution on a suitable metal surface.
What is the advantage of a magnetic base on an outdoor lamp?
It allows you to temporarily attach the lamp to a metal surface and transform it into a hands-free light source. This configuration is useful for illuminating a work area or installation without keeping the lamp on your head or in your hand.
