Delory-Brumard develops equipment and mounting systems specifically for waterfowl hunting. The range includes fixing solutions and recoil compensators for installing optics in blinds or hides.
The Delory-Brumard rapid recoil compensator combines an aluminum body , a spring-loaded shock-absorbing mechanism, and a stainless steel locking arm. The sliding section moves with the recoil generated during firing to limit the direct transmission of recoil to the optic, while the articulated lever facilitates mounting and removal. This configuration is particularly well-suited to blind scopes and half-binoculars used for waterfowl hunting .
The Delory-Brumard rapid recoil compensator is designed for mounting a duck blind scope or a half-scope on a shotgun equipped with the corresponding mounting system. This mounting principle is naturally suited to configurations used for waterfowl hunting , where specific duck blind and duck blind optics are commonly employed.
The main structure takes the form of a long aluminum slide. Its total length reaches 30.5 cm. Several holes are distributed along the body to provide various mounting and positioning points for the optics. This design allows the damping system to be integrated into a relatively compact longitudinal assembly.
Beneath the body are the springs and guide elements of the mechanism. These allow for longitudinal movement of the moving part during firing. The principle is thus to assist part of the movement caused by the recoil rather than directly transmitting all of this mechanical stress to the assembly and the optics.
The long, 17.8 cm side lever is marked DELORY-BRUMARD . Made of stainless steel , this articulated arm controls the quick-release locking system. It allows the compensator to be installed or removed from its base without the need for a tool for this locking operation.
Weighing 521 g, this version combines an aluminum structure with an articulated metal mechanism. The assembly serves a specific purpose: to integrate, on a single support, the mounting of a gabion scope , its positioning, and a mechanism designed to dampen longitudinal stresses caused by recoil. The device thus falls within the category of specialized mounts traditionally used with waterfowl hunting scopes and binoculars.
Its mechanism allows for longitudinal movement of the support during firing. The aim is to absorb some of the recoil and limit its direct transmission to the scope or binocular mount.
The articulated arm controls the locking of the compensator onto its base. This facilitates the installation and removal of the assembly without the need for tools for this locking operation.
